Sound Design

Probably the most important part of making electronic music, sound design is literally the key to getting the right sound for whatever kind of bass, lead or synth you want. Basically it's the key aspect/core element of getting a clean nice sound and or effect for your song!

Mixing

Achieving a clean mix is the hardest thing to do in music production, so brace yourself. There's a few ways to mix. Lazy ways include panning, or just throwing a limiter on the mixer track. Advanced techniques  include sidechaining and or linking to a sidechain control surface, advanced EQing, and having nice stereo treatment to the room you're in at the time of production/mixing.

Composition

Sound design's one thing, but composition takes it pretty much to a different level of music production altogether. Complex Lead patterns, basslines  chord progressions, automation clips, live editing, sound effect stacking, all sorts of important stuff go into an actual artistic musical composition.

Mastering

Pretty important, as it's the last step of making a pro sounding song. you need a really nice mastering plugin(s) to do this, so investing money into mastering is actually one thing i'd recommend doing. Basically, mastering is taking your track as a whole, and finalising it by treble boosting, bass boosting, subtle EQing, or just a soft layer of flanger. It all depends of the song!
